This website
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit it, Vercel processes technically necessary data in server logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system, and the referring page. This keeps the site secure and available (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement with Vercel is in place; transfers to the USA rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Fonts and images are served by this site itself, not by third parties.
If you write to us, we use your address and message to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that and no retention duty applies.
The apps
- Designs and settings are saved as files on your device. If you keep them in iCloud Drive or another service, that service's terms apply. They never reach us.
- Network: the apps make no network connections of their own. Updates come from the App Store.
- Share links carry the design inside the link itself (after the “#”); it is not uploaded anywhere.
- AI assistants: if you connect an assistant (for example Claude Desktop) through MCP, it can read and change the open design and sends what it reads to its provider under that provider's terms. meerCAD itself sends nothing.
- Crash reports: meerCAD contains no crash reporting of its own. If you allow your device to share analytics with app developers, Apple gives us anonymous crash reports; you can turn this off in your device's settings.
- Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store; we receive no payment details.
